Role Overview:
We are seeking a Business Analyst with a strong background in healthcare and/or clinical research, combined with solid experience in IT systems and product development lifecycles. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders, developers, and end-users to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with stakeholders (clinical, research, product, and tech teams) to gather, define, and document business and technical requirements.
- Analyze workflows, systems, and data to identify improvement opportunities and define use cases.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers and developers to ensure solutions align with business goals and user expectations.
- Create and manage detailed BRDs, FRDs, process flow diagrams, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings, sprint planning sessions, and stakeholder reviews.
- Support QA in test case definition and UAT planning, ensuring the delivered product meets business objectives.
- Assist in product rollout, training, and change management initiatives.
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry trends in healthcare and clinical research.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Life Sciences, medical or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT projects.
- Prior experience in healthcare, digital health, clinical trials, life sciences, or medical research domain is mandatory.
- Familiarity with HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare standards is a strong plus.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence, etc.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in data mapping, data analysis, or working with HL7/FHIR/EMR data is desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Public Health, or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Life Sciences, medical or related field.
- Experience working with digital pathology, imaging systems, or lab information systems (LIS).
- Knowledge of SQL or basic data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
- Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or Agile Product Ownership is a plus.
